Abacus Financial Solutions was organized in March 2004 as a full service financial outsourcing firm to help fast-growing small and medium sized businesses and entrepreneurs stay focused on their core competencies in order to succeed in today’s rapidly changing business environment.
In October 2004, Abacus formed Balanced Financial Group LLC to assist public companies in the documentation and testing of internal controls required by Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
Abacus offers accounting services, technology applications and business planning functions for our clients. We act as your virtual accounting office and chief financial officer, empowering the business owners and managers to concentrate on what they do best: build their business.

OUR TEAM
Stuart A. Robbin, Principal
Stuart has over 20 years experience in accounting, finance, internal audit and investment related activities, most recently as Chief Financial Officer of Willow Laboratories & Medical Center. Prior to joining Willow, Stuart was Chief Financial Officer of Prospero Technologies Corp., an Internet technology company that provided on-line community management services on a hosted basis. Stuart was hired by Prospero’s Chairman to control the burn rate and find a merger partner/acquiror for the company. Stuart took the company from a monthly burn rate of over $750,000 in November 2000 to cash flow break-even in February 2001 with no reduction in revenue from the core business. Stuart engaged investment bankers to find a merger partner for the company and consummated the sale of the company’s assets in three separate transactions that closed in October and November 2001.
From 1996 through 2000, Stuart was Chief Financial Officer of Insurance Holdings of America, Inc., an Internet technology company that developed solutions for the insurance industry. While at IHA, Stuart raised over $108 million in private capital from venture, strategic and institutional investors.
Prior to IHA, Stuart worked at American Finance Group, an equipment leasing syndication company; the Mayflower Group, a real-estate syndication company; and Arthur Young & Co., a public accounting firm. Stuart holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Victoria J . Robbin, Principal
Victoria Robbin has over 20 years experience in all areas of bookkeeping and accounting. She currently serves as Controller and Chief Operating Officer of Persian Acceptance Corporation, a retail auto finance company. While at Persian, Vickie oversaw the growth of the business from less than 100 customers and a $700,000 portfolio to over 1,000 customers and a $4,000,000 portfolio. Prior to joining Persian, Vickie was Controller of Omni Capital Corporation, a company that financed automobile inventories for used car dealers. Prior to Omni, Vickie worked in the corporate accounting departments of Charles River Park Management Company, a real estate management company and American Finance Group, Inc., an equipment leasing syndication company.
